Notes and Announcements

Welcome! This morning’s service will be a little different than usual. Members of our church congregation will be leading the service, with a special focus on our shoebox gift ministry.  Pastor David will be back to continue his “I Am” Sermon series next week!  We will also share the Lord’s Supper together next Sunday.

Shoebox gifts: We will begin packing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child at the end of our service this morning. Everyone is invited to stay to pack boxes and share a pizza lunch.

Thanksgiving service: The community Thanksgiving service will be Tuesday, November 21st at 7 PM at St. Paul’s.

Thanksgiving Choir: The first choir practice for the community Thanksgiving service is today at 6:30 pm at St. Paul’s.

Church council: The council will meet Monday, November 6th at 8 pm.  Deacons and trustees meet at 7 pm.

Turkey dinner: Our annual Turkey Dinner will be Saturday, November 11th at 5:30 pm at the town hall.  Volunteers needed!

Saint Lucia: Rustan Swenson and Maizie Hescock will once again host a traditional Swedish Saint Lucia celebration at our church on Sunday, December 17th at 7 PM.  Children and youth interested in participating should plan to attend the first rehearsal after church next Sunday, November 12th.  

Sunday school: Classes for all ages meet downstairs from 9 – 9:45 AM each Sunday.  Come join us!  

Nursery care:  We have nursery care available for children 6 and under.  If parents wish, children may remain upstairs until after the children’s lesson, and then go downstairs to the nursery.

Mission Offering: This week’s mission offering will be used to purchase supplies for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes, and pay shipping costs ($9 per box.)  

Shoebox packing party! We will pack shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child on Sunday, November 5th after church.  Everyone is invited.  Pizza will be provided!  

Trick-or-treat open house: We will open our church to trick-or-treaters on the evening of October 31st.  We’ll serve cider and doughnuts, distribute candy, and maybe even play some games.  Join us for a fun evening.  Candy donations appreciated.
